George Taylor
Piper
George started piping at age 10 in Dundee and played with the Mackenzie Caledonian Pipe Band where he won the "Novice-Juvenile" World Championships. Then on he started to compete regularly in solo contests. Taught by Harry Ellis from Dundee and started Pibroch at school under Pipe Major Ian Duncan.
He's had instruction from Donald Morrison of Aberdeen and Murray Henderson of Kirriemuir, plus he's been under the wing of Walter Drysdale of Methill since age 15.

George has won numberous prizes in Junior and Open contests on the Highland Games circuit and took The Competing Pipers Association 10th Anniversary Piobaireachd Competition at the age of 17.
As well as his many piping accomplishments, George has featured in both the light music and piobaireachd (pibroch) prize lists at The Argyllshire Gathering and The Northern Meeting over the years.
