About Caim
Heather Innes from Scotland and Jacynth Hamill from Ireland, sing together as 'Caim - a capella Celtic Christian Duo'. Originating in 1998 Heather and Jacynth created their first album 'Caim, Sung Prayers in the Celtic Tradition'. The album is based on the published works of Rev. David Adam of Lindisfarne, in the Celtic tradition.
Caim concerts are typically a mix of sung prayers, traditional Irish and Scottish songs, stories and dance. Heather has toured throughout the UK, Ireland, Europe, Australia, North America and Canada, as a duo with Ciaran Dorris and Caim. She has released many CDs including work with other musicians and bands. Jacynth is based in Belfast and features as a soloist with the Corrymeela Singers and is an active member of Ceol le Ceile cross-community choir.
All of the Caim CDs have instrumental backing but 'live' Jacynth and Heather sing their harmonies a capella for the purest Celtic sound. For live performances they join forces with other talented musicians to suit the occasion.
