Function & Cover Bands - Scotland
Cover bands or function bands can be the best option if what you want for your event is a real mix of music to keep everyone happy and dancing. These bands will play a good range of music, particularly the popular favourites, including jazz standards, 50's rock and roll, 60's, 70's, 80's classics, 90's and right up to the present day. Plus most cover bands these days will provide a set or two of ceilidh music. Perfect for those who want just a little Scottish influence.
We guarantee these bands will give you a great party atmosphere and ensure that your guests are having a great time, all night long. We audition every band in our Network so you can be assured that they are professional, reliable and will give you the music you want.
There are two types of cover bands:
- Live Bands - these are usually from a 4 piece upwards and the musicians play and sing your favourite music live, using their own wonderful voices and playing their hearts out live using a range of instruments.
- Semi-Live Bands - usually a duo or trio that sing and play along with backing tracks to give you a full and rich sound.

LIVE BANDS
Camus - Jazz, 50's rock n' roll, 60's, 70's, 80's, current hits
Camus' versatility in musical styles guarantees a fantastic nights entertainment for wedding receptions, corporate events, or private parties.
Camus cover everything from jazz standards, 50's Rock and Roll, 60's, 70's and 80's classics right through to a large selection of current hits including The Corrs, Anastacia, Enrique Iglesias, Shania Twain, etc. For something different they can provide a full 45 minutes of Ceilidh and Celtic music.
Obsession - 5 piece live band
Obsession gives you the magic of a totally live five-piece sound taking in a fantastic range of favourites, from the 50s all the way through to this weeks charts. They're five musicians with huge experience from broad musicial backgrounds who love making your day special. With Karen's powerful vocals and Ian's distinctive sax you'll have their distinctive yet versitile sound to keep your guests dancing all night. Unusually for a pop/rock covers band Obsession also play a surprising range of lively ceilidh dance music including all the popular dances such as the Gay Gordons, Dashing White Sergeant and Strip the Willow.
The Copycats - 5 piece live band
The Copycats are a live five-piece party band covering music from every era and ceilidh music too. Want Karen Carpenter, Madonna or Kylie? Lorraine sounds just like the originals - truly amazing. The Copycats express their love of soul, funk, rock and disco music. Astoundingly good music from a band that really loves what they do.
Studio - 50s through to current hits, jazz specialty
Studio are a four-piece band that are fun, lively and play great music that is guaranteed to please everyone. Female and male vocals give you the very best songs from the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s through to current hits. Smooth sax playing is a wonderful feature of the band, which offers all the favourite jazz and swing classics.
SEMI-LIVE BANDS
Jumpstart - Duo
Whether it matters to you that they are a fun loving, friendly band or that they sound like a collaboration between Sting and Queen's Brian May, Jumpstart is the band for you. This combination gives you a big, big sound for a duo. Their music covers classic songs all the way through the last five decades and are ready to adjust what they play to what you like. Called ceilidh dances will round off your evening perfectly.
The Keystrings - classical, light jazz, easy listening, ceilidh
The Keystrings are a cocktail duo specialising in mellow, easy listening, light jazz, classical and Celtic music. Stevie's vocals are sweet-sounding, rich and warm, covering songs that everyone will want to sing along to.
The Keystrings combine piano, violin, guitar, sax, clarinet and vocals to create a wonderfully sophisticated, elegant and cosmopolitan atmosphere that will make any event one to remember.
Switch - Rock, Pop, Funk, Jazz and Scottish Traditional
Switch is a funky, foot-stomping, party duo. Jimmy's driving bass riffs and and impelling vocals will sweep your guests onto the dance floor and his years of experience will find the best songs and beats to keep them there.
From 'Reet Petite' to 'Take Your Mama Out' with plenty of Paul Simon, Rolling Stones and via soul, funk, indie and swing, not to mention a ceilidh set, whenever Switch perform at a wedding people are on the dance floor, with music sounding this good you just can't help yourself!
Wonderland - everything!
Wonderland have a fantastic range of music including Scottish and ceilidh. They'll play everything and I mean everything from pop, country and rock through to Scottish and ceilidh. A fun and enthusiastic duo that will keep everyone dancing all night with infectious, make-you-want-to-sing-along music. Plus they'll provide a light system and disco. Calling for ceilidh dances too. A band that will go that extra mile for you!

The Wild Myrtles
Edinburgh based, 6 voice, all female, a capella group performing traditional music from Scandinavia, Eastern Europe, Africa and USA. Previous gigs include Edinburgh International Festival, Galway Festival, Milngavie Music Club, The Lot, St Giles Cathedral, Leith FM Radio and Leith Folk Club.
