MuseNexus - About Us

What's The Musicians Network all about?

Debra Carey Ben Edom

Established in 2000

We are a Scottish based company registered in Scotland No. SC300410.

The Musicians Network was established back in 2000 in various forms by guitarist Ben Edom and harpist Debra Carey. After working in the music industry and gigging themselves for over 10 years, they felt there was a real need to re-develop the independent musician's image and status. Not just in terms of selling music CDs, MP3s and other music products, but more to do with live music. At the time and still today, there is very little support in helping musicians market themselves in terms of getting live paid work.

So that's why The Musicians Network was established. To get musicians working more in the field of live music. In other words, helping musicians to get more gigs. After all, that's what musicians do best .... play music live, in the flesh, up there on stage, doing their thing!

Marketing Live Music

The one thing that all musicians struggle with at some point in their careers is marketing themselves, in the aim of getting more work. Whether that be at concerts, television, radio, tourism or even at private events, weddings and corporate events. So that's what we offer. Real help in marketing musicians to the right groups of people that are looking for musicians to play live music.

On the other side of the coin, we help people looking for live music, find it! When clients are looking for the right music for their event, it can be a daunting search. Where do they start? Recommendations? Surf the web? Well, we make it easy to match just the right musicians with the client's vision for their event. Practically any musician or band can be booked through The Musicians Network. It's a unique system that works! After all, we've been helping people find musicians for the last 10 years.
